Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Sunday declined to speak with journalists after appearing before the governorship screening committee of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
Fubara attended the screening exercise at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The screening process is being conducted for sitting governors and aspirants seeking to contest under the ruling party ahead of the next election cycle.
After completing the exercise, journalists approached the Rivers governor for comments regarding the screening and the political situation in the state.
However, Fubara refused to discuss the matter and gave a brief response.
“No comment,” the governor said before leaving the venue.
The APC Governorship Screening Committee is chaired by Nentawe Yilwatda.
