The situation has become more important following the expected departure of Mauro Icardi, whose contract is set to expire this month.
Captaincy and No. 9 shirt part of plan
With Icardi’s exit expected to leave a gap in attack, Galatasaray are reportedly ready to give Osimhen a bigger role at the club.
The Turkish side is considering offering him the captain’s armband as well as the famous No. 9 jersey currently worn by Icardi.
The move is aimed at strengthening Osimhen’s connection with the club and making him a central figure in Galatasaray’s future.
