Lagos State is set to host the first edition of the Entertainment Association Games and Awards in September 2026.
The event, known as LEAGA, is expected to bring together stakeholders from the entertainment, sports and creative industries for a combination of sporting activities, networking and cultural engagement.

The initiative has received endorsement from the Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Sports Commission.
Organisers said the event will become an annual programme focused on promoting wellness, unity and friendship within the entertainment industry.
Event to Feature Multiple Sporting Activities
Lagos to host Entertainment Association Games and Awards with competitions in football, basketball, athletics, table tennis and tennis.
Other activities expected during the event include relay races, dance challenges, fitness contests, draughts and ayo olopon competitions.
Male and female participants from different sectors of the entertainment industry are expected to compete during the games.
Entertainers and Media Personalities Expected
Lagos to host Entertainment Association Games and Awards with participation from musicians, actors, comedians, DJs and media personalities.
The event is also expected to attract stakeholders from the broader arts, culture and creative economy sectors.
Organisers said the platform would encourage interaction and stronger collaboration outside the pressures of the entertainment business.
Lagos Sports Commission Backs Initiative
The Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, praised the organisers for supporting sports development in the state.
He said the initiative aligns with the government’s plans to use sports and recreation to promote youth engagement and social development.

Organisers Dedicate Event to Nigerian Icons
Lead Convener Muyiwa Osinaike said the event was designed to strengthen relationships within the entertainment and business communities.
The maiden edition will honour notable Nigerian icons including Segun Odegbami, Wole Soyinka, Bruce Onobrakpeya and Taiwo Ajai-Lycett.
The event will conclude with an awards and gala night celebrating contributions to the entertainment and creative industries.
