The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results of candidates who sat for the first day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released today.
Results Expected Before Midnight
In a statement issued on Friday, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, April 16, will be able to access their results before midnight.
He explained that the results will be released once processing is completed.
How Candidates Will Access Results
JAMB said it will make an official announcement through its platform as soon as the results are available.Candidates are advised to check only verified channels to avoid misinformation.
UTME 2026 Ongoing Nationwide
The UTME 2026 examination began nationwide on April 16 and is expected to run until April 22.
More than 2.2 million candidates are participating in the examination across accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
Multiple Sessions for Smooth Process
The examination is conducted in several sessions each day to reduce congestion and improve verification processes at centres.JAMB says this approach helps ensure a smoother and more efficient examination process nationwide.
