The 2025/26 Ligue 1 award ceremony was held in Paris on Monday, with several football stars receiving recognition for their outstanding performances during the season.
Ousmane Dembele emerged as the biggest winner of the night after claiming the French league’s Best Player award.
Dembele Wins Ligue 1 Best Player Award
The Paris Saint-Germain forward won the Ligue 1 Best Player award for the second time in his career.
Dembele succeeded former PSG star Kylian Mbappe, who had won the prize five consecutive times before leaving for Real Madrid.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dembele praised his teammates for their support throughout the campaign.
“It’s an individual trophy, but all the individual trophies I’ve won are thanks to this team,” he said.
Desire Doue Named Best Young Player
PSG youngster Desire Doue won the Best Young Player award after an impressive season.
The young midfielder played a major role for the French champions and continued to establish himself as one of the brightest talents in European football.
Pierre Sage Wins Best Coach Award
Pierre Sage was named Ligue 1 Best Coach following his strong campaign with RC Lens.
Sage earned praise after guiding Lens into becoming one of PSG’s main challengers during the season.
Robin Risser and Michael Olise Also Honoured
Robin Risser secured the Best Goalkeeper award after a standout season for Lens.
Meanwhile, Michael Olise won the Best French Player Abroad award for his performances with Bayern Munich.
