Terem Moffi Attracts Fresh Transfer Interest Ahead of Expected Nice Exit

Nigeria striker Terem Moffi during a football match amid transfer speculation in Europe

Nigeria international Terem Moffi is attracting renewed transfer interest from clubs across Europe as uncertainty continues to surround his future at OGC Nice ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Super Eagles striker recently completed a loan spell at FC Porto, where he helped the Portuguese side secure the league title.

However, Porto have reportedly decided against activating the €8 million option to sign the Nigerian forward permanently, leaving him back on the transfer market.

Troyes and Partizan Monitoring Terem Moffi Transfer Situation

Reports in Europe suggest that ES Troyes AC and FK Partizan are among the clubs currently monitoring Moffi’s situation.

A return to Nice also appears increasingly unlikely following tensions between the player and sections of the club’s supporters before his loan move to Portugal.

Moffi is currently in London with the Nigeria national football team for the Unity Cup tournament.

Premier League and Serie A Clubs Still Interested

The 27-year-old forward continues to attract attention from several European clubs due to his proven Ligue 1 experience and goal-scoring record.

West Ham United F.C. have reportedly remained long-time admirers of the striker after previously making a £25 million bid in 2023.

Aston Villa F.C. are also believed to have held talks with his representatives in the past, while Italian club S.S. Lazio continue to monitor developments.

French sides Olympique de Marseille and Paris FC have also been linked with the Nigerian striker.

Meanwhile, Turkish giants Fenerbahçe S.K. are reportedly still interested in securing his signature.

Moffi’s Impressive Ligue 1 Record

During his time in France with FC Lorient and Nice, Moffi established himself as one of the league’s most consistent attacking players.

Across five Ligue 1 seasons, he scored 54 league goals and provided 11 assists in 148 appearances.

His performances convinced Nice to complete a major transfer deal reportedly worth around €30 million in January 2023.

Moffi initially rose to prominence after joining K.V. Kortrijk before making a successful switch to Lorient.

He scored 14 goals during his debut Ligue 1 campaign and later became one of the league’s standout forwards during the 2022/23 season.

Porto Loan Spell and Future Uncertainty

While on loan at Porto, Moffi recorded two goals and one assist in 15 appearances.

Despite helping the club win the league title, his overall contribution was reportedly not enough to convince Porto to trigger a permanent transfer.

With multiple clubs now monitoring his availability, the Nigerian forward is expected to remain one of the notable names in the upcoming transfer market.
