Brazil superstar Neymar has reportedly accepted three conditions from the national team coaching staff as he continues his push to be included in Brazil’s final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The veteran forward is determined to feature at the tournament despite recent injury struggles and changes in his role within the national team setup.

Neymar’s Reported Conditions Before World Cup Selection

According to football journalist Guillem Balague during an appearance on BBC 5 Live Sport, Neymar was informed that he would no longer be part of Brazil’s leadership group and would not wear the captain’s armband during the competition.

The report also claimed that the 34-year-old attacker would have a reduced role on the pitch, with the coaching staff viewing him as a player who could provide impact from the bench rather than a guaranteed starter.

Another condition reportedly involved Neymar reducing his social media activity during the tournament to maintain focus on Brazil’s World Cup campaign.

Neymar Determined to Return Despite Injury Concerns

Balague stated that Neymar accepted the conditions because of his desire to represent Brazil at another World Cup.

The Santos forward missed Brazil’s opening match against Morocco, which ended in a 1-1 draw, after suffering a calf injury.

He is expected to continue his recovery as Brazil prepare for their upcoming fixture against Haiti.

Brazil Hope Neymar’s Experience Can Make Difference

Despite several injury setbacks in recent years, Neymar remains one of Brazil’s most influential footballers.

The attacker is Brazil’s all-time leading goalscorer, having recorded 79 goals and 59 assists in 128 appearances for the national team.

Brazil will hope his experience and creativity can help their pursuit of a record sixth FIFA World Cup title.
