Iran has condemned recent actions attributed to the United States following reported strikes on the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, warning that it will take all necessary steps to protect its territorial integrity.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the incident as a violation of national sovereignty and criticised what it called threatening rhetoric from U.S. officials.

Iran Issues Strong Warning Over Sovereignty

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei stated that Iran remains committed to defending its borders and national interests.

He added that Tehran strongly opposes what it described as ongoing violations and intimidation directed at the country and parts of the region.

The statement emphasised that Iran would respond with appropriate measures to safeguard its sovereignty.

Condemnation of Escalating Regional Rhetoric

Iran also criticised remarks attributed to U.S. political leadership, describing them as dangerous and destabilising for international relations.

Officials warned that such rhetoric contributes to growing instability in an already tense region.

Tehran reiterated its position in support of regional allies, including Oman, amid the evolving situation.

Reported Strikes and Military Response

According to reports, U.S. forces carried out strikes targeting a ground control facility in the Bandar Abbas port area.

In response, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards reportedly launched countermeasures, claiming to have targeted a U.S. air base linked to the attack, though details remain unclear.

The situation continues to develop amid heightened tensions between both countries.
