According to English Alhaji, the suspected bandits contacted him through a WhatsApp video call after his recent comments about insecurity and bandit attacks in Nigeria.

The content creator shared part of the recorded video call online, claiming the callers displayed weapons and ammunition during the conversation.

He said the callers warned him over comments he made encouraging communities to defend themselves against armed criminals.

“Nigerians, so yesterday in the afternoon bandits called me on a video call,” he said.

The influencer added that the callers appeared confident and no longer afraid to reveal themselves publicly.
