APC Stakeholders Back Umo Eno As Sole Governorship Candidate In Akwa Ibom

The All Progressives Congress in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has adopted Umo Eno as its sole governorship candidate ahead of the next general elections.

The adoption was announced during an enlarged stakeholders’ and party members’ meeting held in Onna on Wednesday.

APC Backs Umo Eno For Second Term

Party leaders and stakeholders agreed to support Umo Eno for a second term in office.

The meeting also produced consensus candidates for other elective positions within the state.

Among those adopted were Ekong Sampson for the Senate, Nelson Ntia for the State House of Assembly and Dr Eunice Thomas for the House of Representatives.

Party Leaders Call For Unity

The Onna APC Chairman urged party members to remain united ahead of the elections.

According to party leaders, unity and cooperation will be important for securing victory during both the primaries and the general elections.

Stakeholders also appealed to aggrieved members to put aside their differences and work together for the success of the party.

Stakeholders Praise Consensus Arrangement

Several party stakeholders commended the consensus arrangement adopted during the meeting.

They described the decision as a step towards strengthening unity within the party and avoiding unnecessary internal disputes.

The leaders further encouraged members to begin preparations early ahead of the election season.

Support For Tinubu And Akpabio

During the meeting, party leaders also reaffirmed support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Godswill Akpabio.

They urged members to remain committed to the party’s goals and support all adopted candidates during the elections.

The adoption of Umo Eno as the APC consensus governorship candidate signals growing political preparations ahead of the upcoming elections in Akwa Ibom State.
