Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin, an Ogun-based candidate and indigene of Ekiti State, has revealed how she emerged as the highest scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Daniella scored an impressive 372 out of 400 in the examination, making her the overall best candidate in the 2026 UTME. Her achievement was officially announced during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja.
The 16-year-old candidate is seeking admission to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lagos.
How Daniella Scored 372 in JAMB
Speaking about how she scored 372 in JAMB, Daniella explained that consistency, strategic preparation, and regular practice with past questions played major roles in her success.
Her UTME subject scores include:
- English Language – 98
- Chemistry – 98
- Physics – 94
- Biology – 82
According to Daniella, she focused on studying smart rather than studying endlessly every day.
She wrote on X:
“I didn’t study 24 hours a day. I didn’t just study hard, I was smart with it. I made past questions my best friend.”
The top scorer also advised candidates preparing for future UTME examinations to identify weak subjects early and improve on them.
She added:
“Know your weak points and attack them early.”
2026 UTME Top Scorer Celebrates Achievement
Celebrating her success, Daniella thanked God for helping her achieve the remarkable feat.
She posted:
“To God be all the glory! I’m excited to share that I emerged as Nigeria’s 2026 JAMB Highest Scorer with an aggregate score of 372/400.”
On Facebook, she further explained that the journey to becoming the highest UTME scorer was not easy.
According to her, the preparation process was demanding and challenging, but her hard work eventually paid off.

The Ekiti State Government also congratulated Daniella for emerging the highest scorer in the 2026 UTME.
In a statement shared online, the government described her achievement as proof that determination, discipline, and focus can lead to excellence.

According to information shared during the policy meeting, Daniella attended EFVP Wisdom Spring Model School in Ogun State.
Although she currently resides in Ogun State, she hails from Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State.
