TikTok sensation Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has hinted that he might pause his university studies after realizing that attending school is impacting his earnings.
The content creator, who recently celebrated his admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State, shared his concerns in a voice note on Tuesday. He explained that spending hours in class without making money was a deal-breaker.
“Guys, I swear to God, I remember I said I am going to school… I am not going again. I am not going again,” Peller said.
He further noted that he felt out of place among older classmates and that the experience made him reconsider continuing at this stage.
“When I enter the school, I notice that everyone is old, I am the only young blood there… Maybe when I clock like 30, 40 years, I will now go to school,” he added.
From Celebration to Doubt
Just days earlier, Peller had publicly celebrated his admission, responding to critics who had questioned his educational background.
“Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated… Now, all of you should leave social media, because I’m in school,” he said in a viral video.
The TikTok star explained that enrolling in law school was partly aimed at improving his spoken English and combating the perception of being “uneducated,” which some users had used to criticize him online.

The reversal highlights the tension many young content creators face between pursuing formal education and focusing on lucrative online careers. Peller’s statement has reignited discussions about balancing studies with income-generating activities for digital influencers.
