A Kaduna church attack Easter has left several people dead in southern Kaduna.
The attack occurred in Ariko community in Kachia Local Government Area.
Gunmen targeted two churches during Easter celebrations.
The affected churches include First ECWA Church and St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Sources said at least seven worshippers were killed in the attack.
Several others were abducted and taken into nearby bush areas.Mark Bawa confirmed the incident.
He said the attackers stormed the community in large numbers.
According to him, they opened fire on worshippers during early morning service.
Residents reported that the attackers operated for a long period.They said there was no immediate security response.
Poor telecommunications in the area may have worsened the situation.
The attack caused panic among residents of the community.This incident comes weeks after a similar attack in Kachia.
That earlier attack also targeted worshippers during a church gathering.
Security concerns have continued to grow in southern Kaduna.
Authorities are yet to release full details of the latest attack.
