Chelsea F.C. have announced plans to visit Lagos for the first time in the club’s history as part of their global fan engagement initiative, The Famous CFC.
The Chelsea visit Lagos event is scheduled for later this May and will serve as the penultimate stop of the club’s 2025/26 international fan programme.
Fan engagement event confirmed
The Premier League side said the Lagos visit is being organised in partnership with their official African betting partner, MSport.
Former Chelsea and Super Eagles star Victor Moses is expected to headline the event, engaging fans through a series of interactive activities.
Activities lined up for Lagos fans
According to the club, the Lagos edition will feature a packed schedule designed to connect directly with supporters.
Activities include a fan watch party, question-and-answer session with Moses, and opportunities for attendees to win signed club merchandise.
Chelsea noted that the initiative aims to bring fans closer to the club through shared experiences and personal interaction.
Part of global fan programme
The Lagos stop marks the fifth destination in the club’s expanded global outreach campaign this season.
Chelsea said the programme is focused on strengthening relationships with supporters across key international markets.
Moses returns to connect with fans
Moses remains a popular figure among Chelsea supporters following his contributions to the club’s 2016/17 Premier League title success.
He also represented Nigeria at major tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup, before retiring from international football in 2018.
Growing Chelsea fan base in Nigeria
The visit is expected to attract a large turnout from Chelsea’s Nigerian fan base as the season approaches its conclusion.
The club described the Lagos event as an opportunity to unite supporters and celebrate its global community.
